Partnership

Key to realising the Scottish supply chain potential

We know that even the best project in the world will come to nothing without a strong, reliable supply chain in place. We also know that to speed the next generation of offshore wind we need innovation and experience from both the established offshore wind supply chain and from other industries.

That's why our door is always open to suppliers.

The deep waters off Scotland are an opportunity to decarbonise electricity, create high-value jobs, build a Scottish supply chain and enhance our coastal communities. But its challenges require new thinking.

To deliver effective and rapid project development, we are looking to partner with the supply chain on all aspects of offshore wind and at all levels, through the entire development process and invite you to engage with us to help us understand what this might mean for your company.

Why limit ambitions to Scotland? Scotland leads in offshore wind and solutions that work there will work anywhere. Scottish firms have a valuable opportunity to access global export markets, with the potential to deliver innovative, proven and high-quality products and services to every offshore wind project in the world.

The Quaybridge Supply Chain Development team has a combined experience of over two decades, helping Scottish companies to break into the offshore wind sector. Our range of innovative programmes is designed to support established and new entrant Scottish supply chain companies to explore global opportunities.

We want to hear from established offshore wind suppliers , suppliers of products and services in other sectors who are looking to break in to the offshore wind market and innovators who have fantastic ideas that, with the right support and experience, can influence the market.

Established suppliers

We know the offshore wind industry already has a rich network of suppliers ready and able to sell products and services to develop, construct and operate offshore wind projects. Scottish companies are already well-placed, with the capability to deliver and we are keen to work with the best.

If you are an established supplier, we want to work with you when a ScotWind lease is awarded. Please register with us to be included in our supplier database.

If you are an established supplier but feel you could benefit from support to grow your business or develop new business streams in the offshore wind sector, you may want to consider participating in the Quaybridge Slipstream Programme.

Transition to offshore wind

We want to hear from suppliers with products or services proven in other industries that might be applicable to offshore wind. Your business may have little or no experience in the offshore sector, but if you see an opportunity to apply your product or service to this rapidly evolving sector, register your interest for our Slipstream Programme, which will go live after a ScotWind lease is awarded.

Our experienced team will help you to navigate your way into the market, offering advice, contacts and industry knowledge.

Innovation

We understand that innovation is key to the ongoing development of the offshore wind sector and we actively encourage and support potential new entrants to the market. We are already a partner of the ORE Catapult’s Wind Launch Academy, but, after a ScotWind lease is awarded, we want to do even more to help make smart ideas a reality.

If you have an innovative product or service with applications in the sector, we have the skills and experience to help you develop your concept and bring it to market. Apply to join our Slipstream Programme  to access our knowledge and experience.

Your innovation and our experience make a powerful combination.
