Quaybridge joins DeepWind Cluster

Quaybridge is proud to announce that it has joined DeepWind, a Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise led initiative which is developing a new offshore wind supply chain cluster in the North of Scotland.

One of eight clusters formed under the Offshore Wind Sector Deal, DeepWind will focus on deep water fixed bottom offshore wind technologies and will also act as the lead cluster for floating offshore wind in the UK.

Strategy Manager at Quaybridge, Zoe Barnes, commented “We believe cluster development is a key part of reaching the 60% UK content target set in the Sector Deal. As a new developer we are determined to help develop a sustainable and thriving supply chain which will support our future projects in Scotland. But more than this, we see the deep waters off Scotland as an opportunity as much as a challenge. They represent future global offshore wind markets better than projects built to date. Solutions that work here will work anywhere and so there is a fantastic long-term export opportunity that needs to be opened up for innovative Scottish companies. We look forward to working as part of DeepWind to help achieve this vision.”
